Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

SPS

GK is not going to stop. He is he-l bent on reducing cost. He is taking out head count in all areas. The leaches that cling to your rubber boots when you walk through a swamp have a better moral compass than this @ss. HON is broken. Top down, we continue to be asked for names to RIF. Hanging my head in shame. This used to be a great company.

@6eel+1kbbq1zv Focus has solely been on inflicting direct employee pain nonstop. What great leadership we have in SPS.

I'm leaving shortly into 2023. This isn't the company that I went to work for nearly 10 years ago. For the last four years the majority of decisions made about the direction of our business or changes in policy have all been terrible. With no focus on our end users pain. Just frustrating and demoralizing.

@3xus Pretty sure @mno is referring to more recent history. Like Honeywell taking over Intelligrated or some other company that was acquired and trashed. Just like what Allied Signal did to Honeywell. Getting sold down the road and acquired by Honeywell has happened to almost 100 companies since 2002.

I think he means post Allied Signal buyout. When the Allied Signal/Honeywell strategy became to buy/milk/destroy/dump companies. It has wrecked many a good company or brand name.

Statement from @mno+1kbbq1zv: "Used to be great, no matter what other company you were from, before HON took over, is the correct statement!"

In what shriveled world do you think Honeywell took over Allied Signal? Bonsignore sold us down the road to you dirtbvgs for a nice payday for him and his ugly children.

Heck yea, those finance guys simply map out compensation plans to hit the max comp and cash out with a legacy of CASH in pocket and nuclear destruction (metaphorically speaking) of and business.

In a healthy culture there might be some personal pride in walking away with a business with NPI in growing segments, vibrant revenue growth, some IP, and a plan for the future.

Here it's grab as much cash as you can, stash it non traceable tax country, blame the market conditions, and walk away with a legacy of I GOT MINE!

In couple of years the financials are going to be decimated, you can only drain so much blood before you keel over and die. Sales of legacy junk are rapidly dwindling and any chance of getting something new to the market is done, let alone something new that is actually any good. They have robbed Peter to pay Paul, it will come back tenfold.
