Any notifications in canada yet ?
Section 12 and 13 , of the Ontario Employment Standard guide, are about
notice period for mass termination - 50 employees or more.
Counting 8 weeks, from Nov 16, is Jan 12, 2023.

Infact i guess it's totally related, govt. regulations are why LR announcements in UK/Canada are pushed by few weeks.
Hopefully unrelated; but here - when you fire over 49 employees in a shot, you need to give ample warning to the ministry of work; and have a transition plan before communicating to the employees.
Again this is just a fact - hopefully unrelated; but indeed s*cks to still be in such a mindstate during the holidays.
