I see so much hatred for these Cisco checkins. Your message to ELT never gets delivered. You can’t form a union. You don’t have anything to control.
What’s the other way?
You might wonder but I stopped attending checkins long ago, been an year+ at least coz those were useless anyway. Now that I think about it, it may be used as a tool to message to ELT that they are doing something really wrong so people don’t want to listen to any of their BS.
You're kidding right?? Check-ins provide entertainment for all on company money. We get to watch terrible ELT actors following a half-baked script, we get to hear from presenters telling us to write down passwords, and the best of all is the amazing comments section where our bottomless source of very clueless employees jot down their random thoughts.

Unless you’re some kind of state prisoner or totally incompetent you could take control by getting a job at a company you didn’t hate.

As a customer who won’t invest in the company the message I’m getting is “there is a long list of specific individuals who still need to be laid off for the benefit of both the company and those employees.”
When I was young the gold star went to the winner, then the left said everyone should get a gold star for participating and now the right says only the losers should get gold stars. Like the blobs in Wall-E you’ve all become fat and complacent expecting everyone else to improve your lot in life. Newsflash: if you don’t care enough about you to make a change the company will eventually do it for you and on far less favorable terms. There is a reason immigrants willing to move and take risks create a disproportionately large share of new companies in the US and it’s not affirmative action.

Good news is I accepted job offer for more money and equity outside Cisco and will be resigning after holiday break
