Here's to the new year! Here's to a divestiture breaking up the company by state. Hopefully several other companies will come.in, buy it up, and actually care about us. Here's to BXT getting out ten for whatever corruption he is doing now. Basically here's to FE failing. It's about time.

@ee9 If your union is so awesome then tell me why you let FE negotiate a non strike clause. If you cant strike and walk out, what good does it do?
Ohio and West Virginia, unionize. I guarantee you that First Energy will not fire you. If all the call centers were union. Wow, we could do so much.
Reading call center is union. We do not put up with bull. Ohio and west Virginia, you need to grow some ba--s.
@edq Here's the problem. The Call Center employees keep putting up with it. You all are afraid to rally together and actually do something about it. You don't need everyone. Just 20 if your peers. Walk out. I guarantee they are not going to fire 20 employees.
Who else is sick of these damn schedules after one week? Yea go ahead and give me my first break an hour after my shift starts and then my lunch an hour and half later then have my last break one hour before my shift ends and have me on the phone for hours. Forget that I took a nice little personal break in between all that bs. Ridiculous.
@dxn Well to be fair, about the hold, you should be checking in with the customer every 3 minutes and by the end of the month should have less than 5 percent hold time. Or keep the customer on the line and manage silence. But I am just busting your chops. Did they say why they switched gears? Of did they just stop with no explanation?
The. Command chat was permanently dismantled. Wonder if they read all the comments on here and figured out they made a mistake. Now we have the Na-i police breathing down our necks. Now if we have someone on hold to long they message us. Or if the call is too long they message, do you need help. But they don't help us then. If you are in acw too long, what are you doing? Waiting for them to ask us why I we were in personal too long.
They took the email down by the time Monday came. On Friday I printed it out. So I have the original email. I am just waiting for them to start the chat. Just waiting. I also have the email from Monday they sent. I printed that one also.
@dsq Edit
Not died. "Sued".
@ds8 So leak the email to the local media. I can tell you that I worked for a company (call center) a long long long time ago that had strict bathroom rules. Asking for permission type of thing. Lady actually crapped her pants at her desk by accident. She died and actually won. I am curious, what do the actual supervisors say when you confide in them about rule changes? Do they care or brush you off as if, if they support you they think they will get in trouble? I can't imagine working there still. I can imagine the stress there and how toxic it is.
I don’t know about everyone else but I used and will continue to use personal to take a sh-t, pi-s and get water WITHOUT asking for permission. I saw a few people on my team chat asking if it was ok to go to the bathroom but more than likely they were contractors. I mean what’s the worse they can do fire me for having to use the bathroom without asking for permission first and use my ACW waiting to be approved or denied? And then during the coaching get bitched at for having high ACW?. Ri-fu--ing-diculous. Chat wasn’t active but I had quite chuckle re-reading people bi--hing about the “rules”. I wonder what the media would say about almost degrading changes they are TRYING to implement. Permission to use the bathroom at a “premier” company. Don’t make me laugh.
@drs Maybe the sc-mbags who though up the idea had a change of heart
The command chat was not started today. Everyone was removed from the chat. We don't know when it will start.
How did the asking to go to the bathroom go today? Did anyone pi-s or sh-t their pants?
@dms RE: What did they know? FirstEnergy is positioning themselves to be sold or broken up by state and sold off piece by piece. Most likely the entire FECC will be outsourced.
@dms I don't know where you are, so, sorry I can't give you employment advice.
But I don't understand why all the agents at FECC are hanging on.
You are adults. Yet now, you have to ask permission to go to the restroom. I didn't even have to ask to use the restroom in Middle School.
How's the environment there now? Seriously. Do you still get Unplanned PTO for taking a same day call off. Do you get proper coaching each month? What is it limited to? 30 minutes!? Do you feel your supervisor has enough time to mentor you and develop you? How many teammates do you have after FE laid off half of the supervisors? 25? 30? More?
Do you still work a ton of mandatory OT? Those that work until 6:00pm, when was the last time you got to clock out at 6:00m instead of 6:30pm or 7:00pm.
Oh, on days that you don't have OT, how many times at 4:10pm do the analyst send out an email "Holding All Staff". I'll bet that still happens a ton.
Nothing is going to happen unless you all, collectively, stand up for yourselves.
This is only a job. The temps still starting off at $18.00 an hour and making you wait almost a year to get hired in. He-l even when you do get hired in, how long will it take you to make SR Customer Service Associate? And even then, the pay su-ks.
You know supervisors make almost $100,000 and when STIP comes around, they get $10,000 bonuses.
I really do feel sorry for anyone treading water there. There is no positive outcome. You all are being used.
But seriously - starting over isn't so bad. Your mental health will be improved. He-l if you have a spouse and kids, your kids will see you more often.
FECC leadership does not care about you. You are a number. Has your supervisor ever talked to you about "Metric that matter", because that's all that matters to them, metrics not people.
Name the new company to apply for a new job. What did they know that we don't?
@dmh But what happens if you ask to use the restroom and they say no. Are you expected to wait until they say yes? You know - there are companies out there that will treat you better than the FECC. Better support, better supervisors, better managers. You know there is a reason two Directors from the Customer Service Organization left the company after last years layoffs. Because they knew something that the company doesn't want you to know. Also, your old Vice President was not even there for a year and a half. Think about how bad it has to be for a guy who makes $200,000 a year to leave. He hates it that much.
Email states, quote, csr will utilize this chat anytime they have a request to deviatefrom their schedule for approval or denial. Some examples of when to use this chat , request to call customer back, difficult account and will be in acw manual missed training time, personal ,
account follow up.
A supervisor monitors or break and lunch schedule adherence. Also how long our calls are lasting. That super isor approves all time off the phones for all 3 call centers. This includes, personal time which we use to go bathroom, get water, etc. Also includes approval to call customer back if call drops. Also acw which is ,all calls wait , example, we documenting call, sending letters, etc. I would like to know who came up with a-s of an idea. Really wonder what executive approved this. I really wonder how the media will broadcast this.
@dg2 I worked for FECC for a long long time and went though many changes. I can't believe (I do, but I am surprised) that the manager and analyst team have finally stopped this low. To make grown a-s adults to resort to ask for permission to take a restroom break. Is it just asking for awareness purposes so your supervisor knows where you are or is it literally asking and you have to wait your turn? I really hope someone sh--s their pants as a result and then sues the company, their supervisor, their manager. This company is getting out of hand.
@dg9 What was the Command Chat for?
I truly believe every employee at FE is tired of being treated like garbage.
@dg3 no one thinks or will think this is ok. They created a chat called Command. And when reps were asking questions we were told to stop and focus on our calls. COMMAND? what country are we in? We are employees not prisoners in a concentration camp. They then removed us all from the chat, this was all Friday 04/03.So Monday 04/06 is projected to be the heaviest call volume of the year, and they think it's productive to start this on that day? They actually sent an email "Exciting News" !Oh, and all week every day were phone issues. But yep let's slam the agents doing their job and God Forbid they need to use the restroom! Don't invest in proper technology, but keep spouting PREMIER company!
Everyone is so pi---d off. Email came out on Friday. We also need permission to call a customer back, difficult account and we be in after call work. Supervisors have to approve all ti me off the phones and if we have a long call. Company is also giving us different break times and lunch times every single day. I predict a mass exodus.
@dg2 So you're telling me that all the CSRs think this is okay? Also who came up with this "rule"? And my question is, has anyone been told no? This could be a labor rights violation. Your whole department is dust. I thought it was bad when Stephen Avilla was there and now it's worse. I can't believe you all are putting up with it. I wish I could get in contact with you, I have so many better opportunities for you all. That you will be treated with respect and dignity. But I guess it's not people that matter, but "Metrics that matter".
@dfg required by all 3 call centers
@dc2 What location are you in?
@8c4 so the call centers now have to ask permission from a supervisor to use the bathroom. Wish I was making this up.
@901 Haven't you have not learned by now that you can't trust anyone in this company anymore. What you all really need to do is walk out and strike while those MFers are there.
Anyone know who the goobers are visiting the reading call center this week? They expecting us and warning us to be on our best behavior and dress nice lol yea right. They are probably scoping the place to see how much they can sell it for in the end.
@885 I doubt it. Other than a few people let go and hiring an a-s-ton of VP’s. Nothing major.
@838 Heard there was to be some type of announcement during it. Unsure if it is good or bad.
I'm expecting FE to be sold or broken up in 2026 or 2027. The current federal government is very pro-business and anti-regulation. This is the perfect time to sign a deal to consolidate or to hand the company over to a private equity firm. I'm expecting the board and the major shareholders to take the money and run. Workers and customers beware.
Anyone else getting that sick feeling in the stomach with this upcoming live event in March? Last year they sc--wed a lot of employees by letting them go and the RTO bs.
@2b7 you are exactly what is wrong with the company. You most likely are a drag to your co-workers. People hate id--ts like you.
@11s have fun at McDonalds clown. Nobody will miss mo--ns like you here. Oh wait, just tough guy talk like most. In that case, have fun continuing to be the under-performer and outcast that you are.
This company is a sinking ship and I'm getting the fu-k off. Gonna collect this bonus and do literally nothing at work as much as possible, and then inconveniently leave right before deadlines 😂
Here’s to another year of you clowns being wrong yet again.
@OP Today the parachutes turned gold. I hear the plane fueling up.
