I’ve been reading this sentence in multiple comments in this site. I was also very surprised that a colleague of mine told me the same rumor. What’s the truth of this? What are your thoughts?

90% shares are by Zoom and MS-Teams. Who wants to buy webex?
It’s not being sold or spun out.
WebEx has a microphone that’s always on. Of course the guberment is gonna buy it
Maybe Microsoft will buy it (or buy Cisco), then dump everything that is moribund: https://blogs.cisco.com/partner/imagine-the-art-of-possible-with-cisco-and-microsoft
CNN will buy WebEx.
Government sector is the niche for webex. But, they may have screwed themselves.
So been out of Cisco since LR of 2020. So been at a company who uses a combination of zoom and teams, also engaged with number of large enterprise customers - again used zoom or teams. Have not come across webex for own user of with customer. Here is the thing webex is a lot better than zoom and teams, teams is actually very poor. But! It’s good enough to get the job done. Unfortunately having a better product in this space isn’t really a core requirement. So I’m not actually sure what Cisco/webex need to do.
Nothing new
Yeah? Who's buying?
Conjecture until we get some proof
Don’t listen to the trolls. It was shopped around but no one wanted to buy it, so it’s being spun out into its own company.
Which company are they negotiating with ? Any idea about when we can get some reliable news ?
As previously reported, negotiations are underway
Every year during LR cycles this same rumor emerges. Nothing new.
