@c3 Yes. The "lists" are already made. In order to make it a list you have to have redundancy in your role. There's also the aspect of the cost to the company. If you are a decent performer who has a higher salary and been here a while, you are very expensive to lay off.

@a3 you can let it be known and let the chips fall if it’s what you want and manager able to swing it. Note that HR & Legal approval is needed so manager has to be able to make the case that YOUR role is no longer needed. Good Luck!
Man, I’d ssssoooooo take a layoff package. The regular traditional layoff offer of 1 pay period per year worked. I’d take that, sign whatever they wanted and move on with my life somewhere else away from Citi.
I keep reading posts of “life is not always greener somewhere else”. I find that funny as I’ve heard that very thing from many new people moving to Citi and saying that very thing ABOUT Citi.
If there was a way to volunteer to take a severance without getting scr@wed by Citi looping back around with only a two weeks severance instead of what they usually offer, I’d do it. Fast….I’d do it very fast and oh so leave.

Good luck to you. Took months to get my severance. Was laid off in Aug and just seeing it this week. That was with major errors in communication, incorrect dates, cr-ppy communication from HR. The grass ain’t always greener. Def would NEVER recommend them as an employer after all of this.
@a2 wow, I didn't know we can do this.
I told my manager in my YE review. Hopefully it pays off this week
