Because Chuck is simply trying to manage Cisco's decline, he needs something to distract the employees from the obvious lack of common sense in the technical and business decisions being made. It's simply so much easier to declare oneself as being woke as opposed to actually adding value. Unfortunately for those believing their woke declaration was sufficient, reality has arrived.
Woke has destroyed several businesses. OP is correct, it is time to get back to business instead of trying to satisfy all the woke agendas out there. Lead and not follow.
