I wouldn’t mind being on that list tomorrow.
I don’t like anything about this company. I’ve
seen my team(s) slowly fire onshore only
and slowly hire offshore only. Probably
speaking from a place of privilege, but not
having any more sleepless nights filled with
anxiety would be nice. At least until the next
j*b, that is.

@OP I hope your wish comes true and you get let go.
@ar I would like to keep my job as I have little kids and bills to pay (and not a ton in savings anymore because of how expensive everything has gotten). The small severance is not something that makes me feel good in this job market. Why couldn’t they have first offered this up to people to volunteer for like UHC did last year?
If someone was leaving soon anyway, the severance would be a nice parting gift.
I would very much like to keep my job and avoid the job market which I hear is brutal.
I'm 50/50 on wanting to be on that list. Been at UHG almost 8 years and I feel like I'm stuck in an abusive relationship. I cannot bring myself to leave even though I hate it, and I know that a layoff might be the push I need. On the other hand, of course, I am praying to not be on that list.
The only thing worse than being laid off is being the last person laid off.
Correct take. Those who survived will be on potential chopping block in near future. Best bet is to get to get out of here
