Working in a subteam of Rocm in US. Two of my teammates were just laid off last week. My manager hold a group meeting to tell us about this.

Amd CPU has competition. Amd GPU the gaming series is loosing market share . Amd ai GPU is failing to gain market share.
Amd is hiring more Intel fellows . Amd is doomed.

@r4 Be concerned. Sell some every year and diversify. AMD's valuation is far inflated compared to Nvidia

Not an employee but a distressed long-term stockholder (around 3500 shares which is close to my net worth..). Should I be concerned by recent drops or just hold the course?
I am not sure about it. But they are both entry level sw engineers. My manager told us that some other teams also laid off some staff but he did not share more details about it.
Were they level 3 ratings, avg or high performers?
Was the writing on the wall?
