Our new hires were all slated for India. I think we all know what that means.

Guaranteed layoffs due to 4th quarter earnings (Oct - Dec 2022) being bad (like most companies) when Verizon reports earnings. Layoffs will continue throughout all sectors of the economy in 2023/2024. Equities will form a true baseline bottom in 2023. Corporate earnings will get crushed in 2023/2024 for most (not all). Only consumer staples, energy; and healthcare will be spared (not all). Next 3-9 months should start the ball rolling, it reminds me of the 2008 financial crisis; not quite the dot.com bust.

I work in VBG. My boss told me I will have an opportunity to be RIFFED in January because there is going to be a big layoff. Tons of additional work moving offshore.

Southlake. Anyone even work there. They are some of the laziest people in network. We could rif that whole office and not miss a beat.

2023 will see a significant reduction in employee headcount and it will be international as well.

Rumor in BR is that it will be in Feb and it will be either another buyout offered to all or major layoff. It rides on 4Q results. I suspect a major RIF.

My guess is that VGS will not start layoffs until sometime in Q2. They need time to finish looking at all the processes and vendor contracts to find the redundancies and efficiencies before they decide where to cut.

New VGS org starts 1/1 which is the layoff machine so I’d be surprised if there weren’t.
