Did 4Q sales lift us out of the losing streak?

Layoffs in Q1 2023 will be worse than the layoffs in Q4 ‘22.

Guaranteed, layoffs to follow shortly thereafter once the CEO decides how much headcount to cut to save the Verizon bottom line.

They are defending it because while we will get 75% to 85% on pay that is impacted by inflation, 75% to 85% STI of millions for these executives still equals millions. They make stupid decisions and we win the stupid prizes. We shouldn't be paying for their poor decision making. They should get zero and we should get 100% for working hard. We don't make the poor decisions, they do.

I recently met with alot of friends, and literally no one is using VZ anymore. They switched to ATT or TMO for a better deal.
I am in the GN&T side, and I was shocked Joe Russo recently said in one of the meeting, "Think about the SMS. We used to charge per message, but now it is free. Same for long distance call. We don't wanna get into a price competition." And I was saying myself "The mgmt need to create another business model that can generate a revenue because there are smart ppl creating whatsapp, FB msg. It would have been free anyways eventually."
Upper mgmt are just defending the current way, and not thinking the new way. We will keep losing customers if they don't think outside the box.

Consumer group was still losing customers in October and November. Then they fired Manon. Hans has stepped in personally to save the day, by giving away $2,000 worth of phones, tablets, watches and earbuds this month, as an aggressive promotion to get customers. They are trying to salvage what's left of Q4 by giving away the farm, & he'll take the credit for December numbers, which most likely will churn in Q1. I hope I'm wrong!

They are almost too upfront that it will, so maybe not.

Op, if you just listen to vz executives or read their updates they send via email over the past 3 months you will have your answer. Last round of layoffs will stop same bleeding but it will continue to be bad
