You can stop asking if a certain team or group or whatever is affected or will be affected by layoffs. Just assume that the answer is always yes. If that yes is not applicable immediately, it will be sometime in the (most likely near) future. Save yourself unnecessary guessing and stressing and prepare for the worst. Then you'll finally be able to relax.

Intel needs to cut $3 B now and $10B cumulative a few years from now. They will look for cutting opportunities EVERYWHERE — now and during the next three years.
Look around you think your group is competitive against your peers, revenue per employee or profit, if not you are ripe for a cut layoffs baby!
