Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Received my 401k settlement check - drawn on US Bank

$100 for four years on the plan. And on a check cut from a US bank account ! Thanks for being very sensible. This money will come to me in full.

You realize that here are two 401K settlements. One with the DOL which was a $132 Million settlement and the second was a class action for $32.5 million settlement. Both should be paid out in Dec. 2022. So far have received the funds from the DOL settlement

Former employee. Received $1,827.45 check yesterday made out to the company that I originally moved my 401k to. It's not there anymore. Empower executes about as well as Wells Fargo. Empower said I never told them who to make the check out to. I sent them the email I sent two months ago with instructions on who to make the check out to. They never asked I was just trying to preempt what eventually happened anyway. Now I have to wait for a new check that they won't send until they get the old check back. Amazing incompetence.

All former employees get a check. Existing employees get the amount posted to their account.

I can tell the $83 is the settlement money because it shows as a contribution and I maxed out contributions in sept. And it’s not the annual employer match.

OP here . Obviously I am an ex-employee here. Otherwise , why would I say four years and stop there ? I left in July but just seeing the reactions from many of you doubting my story, I think many of you need an IQ test. How would you ever pay an ex-employee without sending them a check? No self-respecting former employee will leave a penny behind in a wells account . Sorry folks, I am being honest. I like Wells Fargo employees. Not Wells Fargo management.

Maybe it's time for someone to go to jail for all the fraud and abuse.

I see numerous entries. Not sure which one is the settlement. How can you tell?

My funds posted to my 401k on December 13th. HR confirmed. It looks like some former employees are getting checks this week! I know someone who got a small check

If you are no longer with WF, you get a check.

Not BS post some are getting checks. I closed my Empower account earlier this year after retiring and I am still getting a settlement. Received email notice from Empower and the payment will be in the form of a check soon.
