- Why would you train someone to replace you in your position? This is a job transfer, not a knowledge transfer.
- You aren’t qualified to be in your current role if you find yourself relying on GVE—they know that!

At the end of the day, GVE is one of MANY resources that we (field SEs) use in order to get our jobs done. GVE is great - but they can't (and don't) do everything....and that's their role/focus. They don't cover the entire sales cycle, they don't replace the need for an SE.
The comment re: GVE is absolutely not remotely accurate or reality. The folks using GVE are the ones who leverage the right resources in order to retire their goals. Each of the teams I've been on used GVE heavily and none of us were affected by layoffs. Stop spreading paranoia/FUD, please.
