Has anyone heard of any changes to in-office expectations from 4 days to 5 days in office?

@pj Tell me you don't have access to data without telling me you don't have access to data.
@yp heard this doesn't apply to agile flex, the biggest slackers
Anyone get told its officially 5 days on 6/1?
I was shown the email, its official. .ay not have trickled down to everyone yet.
Jfc I hope not
@tp. Maybe your inbox, not in mine.
@pj exactly and they said it since day 1 following covid they were going to get back to 5 days in. The fact people are surprised shows you how d-mb some are. Want to be pi---d? Be pi---d about them babysitting you in reports and firing you for not complying to rto, be pi---d that people were allowed to wfh pre-covid and are now sc--wed out of that option completely by hi---r robin, be pi---d that staff forced fulltime wfh are now being fired for being wfh and be pi---d they forged thousands performance to low rate them costing them their job and merit. Those are the things to be pi---d about. Not about a company returning to 5 days in which was always the plan
Check your inbox. Its official 6-1-26 5 days. Wooooohoooo
We go 7 days in Sep.
5 days, effective 6/1
So is it 5 it no ? Dont think anyone knows.
If you believe full RTO is because of slackers, you need a reality check.
The bank was always going to return to full in office. It's a stodgy industry and it doubles as attrition in disguise.
@nt if the company’s only job was to babysit us this explanation would make sense it’s about real estate leases and many other concerns
@eq Well they did offer employees to return 2 days a week in office but a few of us effed this up by playing the system and coming up with nonsense reasons like Monday is my usual day to come but it was a public holiday so I only need to do 1 day this week so the bank just decided to pull us all in and provide a tracker so there's no ambiguity.
@OP without going into some sort of rant, trust me, RTO is the least of your worries at BNY. You are working for the most unethical company in the industry. If this is not already obvious to you, it will be soon.
work from home use all the privileges you can but don’t promote toxicity by hating on people just trying to make it. Heck not everyone even HAS a peaceful environment to work at home from. direct your ire to the appropriate place. Use it for good. My 2 cents, so annoying
With 240 Greenwich going through years long construction there is no way they are going to ask people to come in more days. We will be lucky there will be access into the building.
I miss the years remote work was manager’s discretion… so here we are! Working for WEF shills and funders of human trafficking
It’s pretty clear no one on this email trail has any confirmed information. A lot of speculation about space etc., which, of course, won’t play any part in the decision. The only thing that matters is the intended outcome.
There has been a lot of noise being made. When we moved to 4 days and more-or-less removal of Agile Flex they were complaints about lack of space and room - which has been proven wrong. A few will post exaggerated description of crowded office space but that is not 100% true - for those who go to office 4 days can vouch.
One does not know whether the 4-day rule is being abused with In Office Exceptions - but the floors are not swamped and bathrooms are not overflowing. May be on the days they force you to come to office for a FYI it seems a bit crowded. But those events are not daily occurrence
Based on the observations the management may be encouraged to push for 5 days and may lose some more voluntarily. Thus, achieving its staff reduction goals without writing a check. It is a WIN--WIN for them
They can always reinstate 4 days and even Agile Flex if it really gets overcrowded and becomes a fire safety issue
Nothing is stopping them.
@bw thanks!
Seem a lot of fear mongering lately on this. 5 days fu-k that,
I know from reliable sources this isn't the case. Leadership knows the space is not available and for the foreseeable future it's BAU of 4 days. This is all fear mongering
Yes. Sadly, BNY will be going 5 days in-office this summer. Very stupid but it is what it is.
