Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Any updates on the fake hiring scandal?

Remember the fake hiring scandal at Wells. People being called to interviews when the winners were already pre-selected. Despite the fake sloganeering about DEI, etc ., no real minority candidates were really hired. The only minority ones incoming were the management-nominated senior people. I am part of that class suite and hoping for some payoff on it he against caused to many of us.

I am white and disabled so also a minority. I have gotten token interviews for several years. This is not new, happens at every company in America. That’s how Corporate America operates these days.

I was a highly qualified senior manager in a risk function and was not selected repeatedly after several rounds for many positions (10+). I gave up and quit . I will absolutely include myself when the inquiry committee sits down to examine. Another scandal and fine is just around the corner!

@3ser+1kkEJwBe I later found out a manager on my team did this and actually turned in interview guides like other people were also on the panel.

So, interviewees, if you find yourself interviewing with just one manager tell your recruiter and ask if there will be follow up panel interviews. I reported the manager to the ethics line but nothing happened. This was before the fake interview scandal.

We’ve become so “woke” and afraid of incompetence from minorities that we now must sleep in the bed we made. So we hire / promote tokens. And the company and employees and customers and shareholders all suffer.
Too many tokens at this company.

If you are interviewed by only one manager, they already have someone else in mind. A legit interview will have more than one person on the panel. That's what human resources wants.

Happened to me and I was not a minority they also do this just to taunt the women they will not promote ! Ex Wells employees should class action them on the sheer torture they put good employees thru because they tried to do the right thing !!!! Looking at you compliance !

We’re still doing it. I mean when we want to hire a candidate we hire them, anyone else is just there to check a box

I remember that B. Ling said that it would be a requirement that all internal candidates that went through the full interview process but didn't get hired, would be given a rationale as to why they weren't hired. That never happened.
