I remember when DirecTV would unscrupulously siphon off employees from other departments to join their group to pad their headcount. They knew they would eventually have to reduce headcount and use these newly acquired people as logs on the fire to help save their team. Fortunately, our leadership fought back and wouldn't let them merge us. However, several unsuspecting people lost their livelihoods through this tactic. Now the rent is due, and no NFL Sunday Ticket or sacrificial lambs to help pay for it. Another T misplay.
