H1B's are scam artist. If they get laid off, they never leave the US after 30 days after not finding a equivalent job. What they do is hire corrupt sleezy attorneys, who are usually foreign born to fabricate bogus paperwork stating they found a new job so do not need to leave the country, as they agreed to when they received their H1B visas. Total Scam.

Good luck proving anything. Even if you forfeit your severance in exchange for the right to sue you probably wouldn't get a larger award than the severance and your lawyer will be getting a 30-40% piece of that settlement. Life is unfair get over it.
