Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Is Intel stock a buy at $26/shr?

The stock is at 8yr low. Will there be a dividend cut? Cost cuts are being done to prop up the share price and still pay dividend. Dividend cut will be death knell for Intel share price. Therefore, it should be a safe investment? May be it is dead money.

If history is any indicator it's a good time to load up on stocks because the market will eventually roar back, but I wouldn't touch INTC at any price.

Sharpe ratio is return/risk. IDM 2.0 is nearly infinite risk, so forward looking Sharpe ratio for Intel is likely to be close to zero. I'll pass.

Can’t fund Germany? I think, decided NOT to fund it. EU is a mess. I’m glad it’s on hold.

Dividend is the only thing holding the shareholders here.

Pat and Dave simply can’t make the scaled investment in manufacturing and RD while getting enough pricing power against AMD and Nvidia who can leverage far more advanced technology and bigger scale through their foundry partners.

Already you see how Pat can’t fund Germany, Next year Ohio plans will falter and 42 and 52 will also disappear by 2024

Intel is a depressed stock for a number of years. The only thing that was sweetened was the dividend. But it can’t sustain the dividend when the earnings dry up. To attract investors, there has to be growth and/or income investors who like the dividend. If neither of them is there, the stock will go down. It is already at the lowest point for the year. You may recall it has reached teens or below to single digit not too long ago - around 2000. So, the coming year will decide the movement.

There must be a dividend cut, with current earnings and balance sheet cannot sustain this dividends amount
