DOes anyone know when the next layoff at wellmed will be? Im looking into quitting but would like to wait until the next layoffs. Just in case so i can get my severance package. Either way, im ready to get out of here

Layoffs are every 3rd Thursday. Sad but true.
@ah Unfortunately that may mean competing with a larger pool of laid off employees in the US if you are in a tech role. Sounds like Oracle is laying off 30K.
@OP I am wondering about the UM Dept at Wellmed Tx. Leaders and LVNs gone. Low volume, AI doing reviews. When do the nurses start getting cut?
I’m hearing the next one is either April 23 or 30th. It’s become workplace trauma here with RIFs monthly. Work hard and do exceptional work but trust it will have no impact on job security. They get rid of some of the most talented and highly skilled people then offshore the work for Pennie’s on the dollar. It’s sad and embarrassing but rest assured the big wigs are getting their fat checks and stocks etc. Meanwhile the rest of us are trying to make ends meet with our 0% raises and pathetic bonuses.

Just wait. They are slowly reorganizing Wellmed which means they are trying to get rid of the clinics. Judging by the amount of patients that are seen it is not profitable for them. Example the south side clinic in San Antonio has nearly no patients at 9 am in the morning. Actually they saw two. Meanwhile they have 4 receptionists, 2 or three others doing orders and a couple of Medical Asst, 3 phlebotomist and NP / doctors . And a total of two patients. They expect each physician to see about 70 patients a day. It will close soon.
