Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

The atmosphere here after all those cuts is awful

Communication has gotten so limited and people are constantly watching their backs. Nobody wants to stick their neck out or help anyone else anymore, mostly because everybody is worried they're giving somebody else advantage before more cuts. This isn't the same workplace it used to be at all.

The Karthik rao anil goel phase is worst Nielsen has seen, and the company had a rich 100year history

I know many people desperate to get out. They don't even care about waiting to get severance. It has gotten that bad!

I wish them the best of luck. Your sanity is worth more than trying to wait to get laid off and getting that severance. Also......you'll make more money elsewhere and be happier!

this is textbook what happens when organizations prioritize cost cutting and efficiency. "productivity" skyrockets but quality goes into the gutter and people stop being creative, stop problem solving, stop caring about the product or taking ownership for results, just try to stay afloat and not point out any flaws or new ideas for improvements. no number of mission statements and corporate buzzwords can change that. these people know the cost of everything but the value of nothing
