Buying the baby bells reduced choice for the customer? How? It's not like I could choose SBC or PacTel because only one ran wires to my house.

Maybe you mean we should return to the days where each baby bell had its own cellular region, and every mobile plan had limited number of roaming minutes included. That wasn't a great choice for consumers.

Maybe you mean choices in long distance carriers. I don't miss paying extra to call the next city, either. The industry changed. It's a lot better for consumers now.

should of never been allowed to buy the baby bells back.

all it did was cost jobs and less choice for customers. but hey how could the government monitor our phones if they didn't let that happen.

Randall was right though. The old business model is dying. We are down to selling wifi and cell phones. Thanks to Tmobile and Cricket people think $10 per line for unlimites talk text and web is a normal price. Thanks to Spectrum One they think $45 for home wifi and unlimited mobile is a normal price.

These prices include taxes and fees.

Randall is turning the company around. Making AT&T great again. Go Randall.

The board members are to collect fat checks. They have no idea what type of scam the company is engaged in. As long as they get paid all is golden.

Who is gonna hold who accountable, it’s a club, they’re friends they promoted each other.

Also it was Randall’s plan to retire with his golden parachute and rehire as a consultant for a million a year because he is so vital to the corporation.

It was Randall's plan all along to get rid of the unneeded workers. He's smarter than the rest of us,

The ones that got us into the situation are still there collecting a BIG check, while “the workers” are shown the door. SMH

Why aren't you picketing the board meetings?

Why would anyone expect a bunch of textbook swamp dwellers who bounce from gov't to business to academia to do anything or even know anything about AT&T's business?

Is there a person on the list you'd ask to build a network or manage your 401k?

The board is just theater.

The board got exactly what they were asking for. You are under the false assumption that they ended up with something they didn’t want.

People at that level are not held accountable. When the strategy fails they point the finger at the workers for poor execution!! Randall and Stankey will continue to pull out hundreds of millions, and the BOD will go along with it to keep their perks, retainer fees, and stock options!!!

You are mistaken, Randell is still drawing a salary as a company consultant. Just a mere 1 million a year the last time I saw any information on it.

If Randall isn't doing performing well, we should get rid of him and get another CEO.

Let's chip in and file a lawsuit against them. Let do it!

Can they be sued in a class action for the damage to AT&T shareholders? I don’t see why not.

Are these highly compensated people being held accountable for their dereliction of duty?
