Thread regarding Ford layoffs

RTO

So when is this RTO to begin....with triple threat on the rise and no walls up. Still trying to figure out the purpose if we work independently as a team. people may pass out wearing a mask all day if they choose to wear one.

Yes but there will be no religious exemption for RTO.

I am NOT even sure that RTO is going to be applied to all the workforce. There are not enough buildings/desks to accommodate all employees. The company cannot even do "3days a week" because of lack of desks.

I believe that some LL3/LL4s are pushing for RTO, but realistically is not going to be applied to all the company, unless it is one day a week in the office or less. I am sorry for all the employees under those managers wanting to look good by forcing RTO.

RTO is only required for jobs that require it. Our area received an email that said they will like to see in the office, but if job doesn’t require it then stay home.

I’m not going back other than 1 day every 3 months. Ford is not gonna control me and my time. My time is more precious than me driving to and from work.

They will face a big lawsuit if they SIRPd certain employees and not others.

You are right I was not there all I know is what several of the ll's are saying. If they are lying we will know soon enough when our out of state team mates are selling their homes an show up inthe office.

Been going in since it was allowed, will continue to work out of one our quiet labs. No desire here whatsoever to sit at a shared desk.

no sign off. It was stated out of state are not affected. Only SE mi. The out of state people never requested anything. As far as I know other teams with out of state people were told they will work from home permanently per HR,

@jvb+1kooltS9 as previously stated as being necessary, those three people clearly have LL3+ sign off.

In our meeting we were told that out of state people are exempt. They will continue to work remotely. HR told them they could move out of state with no problem

I have 3 people on my team out of state including my manager they are not required to come in. This was told to us by LL3. Email that went out states SE mi needs to report.

@tzb+1kooltS9 "They are not going to make a person from out of state move to se mi to come in the office that is just incorrect."

You are wrong. It was clearly communicated to out-of-state hires when they were hired that a requirement to move to SE Michigan could happen, and that they would have the choice to comply or be let go if and when that were to happen. I was involved in the hiring of remote resources. I know this 1st hand. Not second hand. Not third hand.

And finally, where is your proof this won't happen? Or is it you just pontificating on the internet?

RTO will be as soon as the Train Station gets its Certificate of Occupancy, not any time soon.

one ford does not exist. Example se mi people being forced in to work. North is not out of state is not. It should be a choice to go in unless everyone goes in to some facilty in their area.

Yeah, work in the office 3-4 days a week without having an assigned desk and chair to call your own and have all your stuff at.

Sounds gross.

1-2 days fine, but over that a locker is not going to do.

First of all no one said they didnt want to come in the risk factors are there for those with medical conditions which they would choose to wear a mask. Yes people have passed out from wearing a mask too long due to their personal medical conditions. They are not going to make a person from out of state move to se mi to come in the office that is just incorrect. I do not feel anyone was whining they were just asking a question. If you want to go in the office go no one is stopping you for those who dont then they shouldnt

When was this written? Wearing a mask all day? It hasn't been like that for months. Stop listening to CNN.

RTO is coming though. Had an LL4 tell me that management is putting the policy together right now. 3-4 days a week in that office. Exceptions will be case by case, approved by an LL3+ only. Anyone outside of SE Michigan will be required to move to SE Michigan or be SIRP'd. Again exceptions will have to be signed by LL3+.

Anyone that resists will be top of list for the 1st quarter 2023 round of SIRPs.

You've been warned. Do your due diligence now before it's too late.

There isn't a RTO requirement. There isn't a mask mandate. Nobody has passed out wdiecto wearing a mask.
