The company's ultimate goal is to either move your jobs overseas or have it done by AI. Being at a core site does not matter! I was at a core site for years, until "they" decided it wasn't a core site anymore, that's all it takes. They are a business, they are about profits and their bottom line. The quicker you accept the fact that you are not relevant, that you're just actually costing them money, the easier it'll be to deal with being laid off, and yes, they will come for you eventually.
