I’m sorry to hear that you were impacted, and wish you and others the best. Hope you land somewhere better and less toxic than The Swoosh.
@OP as someone that was there before you. I want to say that this is the beginning of new chapter not the end.
Concentrate on important things your relationships, family and even your pets.
That will help you a lot and also that is what matter most.
@aa OP whatever Nike says listen like if a local prost---te is saying something. Don't put too much weight in it.
At least local prost---te has more integrity than Nike LOL
I've heard directly from one PCO at Tailwind, she was let go effective immediately, and heard secondhand about 2 leads, (maybe D2?) at AZA, also some D8 PMOs and PCOs.
The waiting is the worst.
OP here.
I don’t want to say too much. It doesn’t look like too many were let go today and I know peers are lurking here haha.
Thank you for your messages. Life moves on, Nike was great my role was great but in a small way glad to explore what else is out there.
But plenty of prep time ahead of the meeting
You are so lucky! I am Jealous, I wish they could end my time at Nike.
I was let go in February also, and while it was a slew of negative emotions for a few weeks as I watched people who contributed nothing keep their jobs, it was the best thing that’s ever happened to me professionally. I honestly feel bad for the folks trying to hang on. If they’re doing it the same way you’ll be on continuance for a while then get a severance. Take the week to go through the emotions then get back out there. I promise the grass is truly greener on the other side.
If they sent you a meeting invitation, how much prep time did you get?
@a5 you can’t file unemployment until after the official termination date, which is set by Nike
You should immediately file for unemployment if the terms of separation allow it
Sorry to hear that. I know the mental health side says “give yourself time” but unless your finances are really good…. encourage you to start looking asap. The job market can be tough and the sooner you start the better. Plus this layoff will flood the market.
Ugh that sounds like such a downer, I want to agree with @a2 but just ugh.
Sorry.
Sorry to hear this. I was laid off in February and I can honestly tell you that every day I am further away from Nike the happier I am. Give yourself the grace to let it all settle emotionally next week.
Sorry to hear that. Wishing you the best going forward. Any insight on the orgs or teams affected?
