I am coming up on my 29th year and continue to see the decline in VZ. I am in Network and like the operation side of Southwest upper management will not listen to their engineers. They are more interested in the financial side and until they spend some time in the trenches the network will continue to decline. The damage has been happening for several years, but even worse in the last two. We are not doing the day to day maintenance it takes to have a superior Network and we are too cheap to pay for any tools that actually work.

I wish I could get 30 but I'll be showing myself the door later this year with 25 years at age 50. I wish they'd scrap the current pension setup and give us $25k for each year of service. I predict a mass exodus once people's retirement numbers line up
Verizon won't implode in 1 weekend like southwest. They will decay and rot like sprint.

I told my director we had too many FCAs at a site and he told me not too worry about it because it shows we "still have customers attempting to make calls" kid you not.

I understand the question. Our ordering systems are a JOKE!! Nothing like clicking in the corner and all of a sudden you’re looking at code. Reported it multiple times and nobody cared. Coffee is a joke!!

I wouldn't advertise your tenure. 5 Yee and the crew will put you on the next RIF list. So sad. So many who have been with the company for as long or longer than you are leaving today not of their own choosing.
