How honest are we being this year with regards to feedback at BNY?
I'm usually extra generous when it comes to ratings but this year i find myself being brutally honest and people don't seem to be getting good scores at all (i'm blaming menopause)!!

I spend most of my days in the restroom or in the cafeteria. My manager doesn't know where I am. I come out for meetings, then right back to my hidey hole. I got 5 stars across the board on my last review. I'm hoping I can keep it up this year.
You have to give comments of at least 30 words?! Here come the “very, very” type adverbs. Maybe I’ll describe my favorite movie scenes, see if these things actually get read.
giving everyone 3s so i stay slightly ahead them
You get a 5. And you get a 5. You also get a 5! Five for everyone!!
Everyone got a 5 from me except one coworker who thinks she’s knows it all and doesn’t. She got 4s.
9 people were requested to give feedback on me. I wasnt requested to give feedback on anyone except my manager. Hardly fair.
Everyone is getting 5 from me. I will not help this company dispose of good people. Even if you’ve only interacted with the person on one email, tell
Eliza what the context was and tell her to write the most positive strength and growth opportunity for the person.
This is just another way for managers to justify below expectation ratings and, ultimately, year-end reductions in force by pointing to peer feedback as supporting evidence. Let’s support one another by giving each other top ratings.
It is unfair to ask you to review the performance of coworkers or people you barely even know or have ever interacted with. And now this year it forces you to write a comment of 30 words. Ask Eliza to do it.
All 5’s,working in this place everyone deserves it..rate and move on,
True about reducing headcount. I have heard you will be on a "list" if you don't waste your time doing this garbage.
@dy, no this is just another tool to reduce headcount and provide cover incase of a lawsuit. These things don’t matter.
They don't take any notice of employees any other time of year, so do they actually look at this sh_t?
I just give everyone 5’s—I do not care in any way, shape or form. A waste of time. As someone wisely said below: if you are going to get canned, you cannot be saved. It seems their goal is to foster a fake we-all-live-it-here environment when, in actual fact, we all hate it here.
It’s a pointless waste of time. I just give everyone the highest score.
Unless someone is truly awful, I’m generous. The people I’d like to rate poorly are not the ones who choose me for feedback.
I do all 5s, except that when I filled it the first form I forgot all about the half stars, so I ended up giving that person a 4.6 rating. At least it's someone indispensable (for now).
It's such a stupid system. It's not like it makes any difference. If they want to get rid of you, they will, no matter what rating you got.
I gave everyone all 5s. If you give anything less, you are part of the problem. You shouldn’t be rating colleagues lower than a 5 if you haven’t told them to their face that they need improvement.
Too many fake people here who act one way and then talk garbage behind backs.
People giving their colleagues lower scores are the same ones complaining about the company’s forced rankings.
Everyone gets a 5! Don’t care, it’s what I give!
I'm not doing any of the feedback garbage..
Sounds like you’re failing as a manager. Trending to not meets for you.
