In office expectations: PTO

Everyone has said that the 3 day requirement is rolling. If that’s the case and I take two weeks off can I only go in 1 day the week before I’m off and one day the week I come back?

Your mgr is overruled at times. Typically the 2-3 level up is looking over a month. Don’t matter what deal your mgr made. Had it happen to me as a mgr as I got someone brand new assigned and my mgr breathed down my neck in week 1 of that even tho prior mgr allowed more leniency.

Rolling average means once your extra days drop off, you will be in arrears and probably be reprimanded.

PTO five days remove the three in office days then you have two days banked remote days. I use the two banked either before the week I’m off or best the week after so my PTO helps boost the % and it’s just easier to keep track doing it that way for me.

Just go in to the office 3 days a week as you've been asked. It's jack holes like you who make this whole RTO reporting necessary.

You don't want to work for company that treats employees like3rd graders. Only thing that should matter is doing great work. Which is not the case here. I tell people at church and the gym about how unethical and rotten this place is, always tell them to move to a credit union while they can.

There also a month average and a rolling 12 weeks. If you go in one day a week you’ll be fine until after the two weeks of PTO roll off the average. So don’t do it.

It is every week. Says so on Teamworks. Has never changed since 2022. Why is this still a debate?

Exactly! For something so directly and easily tied to a performance review, I would not play around. Ask your manager, give them the exact scenario. Some managers respond bluntly: you must have 3 days a week in office. PTO counts for that particular week.

My management says that it is on a weekly basis, not a rolling average

This information is published for everyone to see. Search manager guidance for RTO. Not sure why people continue to spread misinformation on the top - oh I know why it’s because they are ignorant and confidence - the deadliest of combinations. The only answer you will get by checking the forum is a d-mb one.

Why are people so snarky- gheesh! You are correct 2 weeks off is 10 days in office plies 2 more gives you a monthly average of 3 days/week.

Either ask your manager or don't play that game

Some of you all have never learned the first two rules of fight club.

I would suggest you test this out, while being prepared to apologize for misunderstanding the rules if your manager brings it up. If they don't bring it up, keep the fu--ing discovery to yourself instead of blabbing about it online.

The general answer is yes, the way they've configured both the in-office and 8 hours monitoring leaves some minor loopholes you can avail yourself of if you take the time to figure them out yourself. Stop asking other people to do your homework for you

It should not - because even if you take 5 days PTO it should only count as 3 days in-office for that week

However, the WF formula might be re--rded in which case your technique may work
