Thread regarding 3M layoffs

This place has gone from a fantastic place to work to an awful place

I've been at several companies over the last 20 years, and I've been at 3M for the last ten.

I used to be able to enthusiastically say that 3M was the best place I've ever worked.

I guess that's still true, but not the 3M of today.

This place has gotten bad, and it continues to get worse.

Factory people need to work. That’s the bottom line. For too long they have had relaxed work schedules. This is a profit making entity where share price is the only thing that matters. People matter but let’s not make it into something it’s not. 3M is not a hospital for the delicate minded. Get over it!

Not true! Hr brings us the ‘best place to work’ accolade each year for a hefty price…

I work for a top38 plant and i can tell that most factory people are demoralized. Everyone is just showing up and collect their pay checks.

You can still grieve over a job that was good and isn't any longer. The person is probably already looking but a little sad things turned out this way.

@OP I totally agree with you. The toxicity has increased, the leaders are more narcissistic, there is more back stabbing, etc. It is not easy to find a new job and many of us are not fortunate enough to have enough savings to quit before we have a new job. This is especially true if you are a single parent.
