Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Payout

Just wondering: I remember an old coworker asking and I don't recall the answer. Do we get our 5 weeks vacation in the 2nd year of our 104 weeks termination pay? I cannot find the answer in our Leg T CWA contract. Also, I wonder if I can call in sick in the 103rd week of payout and then go on paid disability for 6 months. Would I need to file FMLA? Am I entitled to any more entitlements?

@h3 you might want it, and you might be entitled to it, but you’ll never get it. The company will use nefarious tactics to ensure you don’t see a dollar. Seen it hundreds of times.

I got Legacy T layoff pay once, and they pay you for your unused VP days as soon as you go off payroll. I got it as a separate check from my termination pay.

@cz The fact is that when we are surplussed, we shall receive the termination pay per contract - and eventually we inevitably will be surplussed.

@a5 , just because something is on paper doesn’t mean you’ll actually receive it. Nobody is (seriously) doubting it’s in your contract. It’s that T “leadership” has proven mendacious, avaricious & outright Machiavellian. Give that fact, you can bet those sociopaths will do ALL they can to avoid having to pay ~104 weeks to you folks.

You are in the wrong thread. You want the one where you brag about getting your card swipes in and milking the company for 8 hours.

We are really fortunate to be in a union with great bargained for benefits such as these! The hateful management on this board is so jealous!

Yes. Only thing you don't get is personal days. So the severance is basically 114 weeks pay.
