Almost gave up. Fingers crossed, everyone, please. I'm so demoralized here that getting out is about saving my sanity now. Hard to believe I was once excited to work here.

Not true across the board. There were several job roles eliminated and in these cases good and bad were let go. The good should hopefully get a life raft during garden leave.
Places were it was just a number cut, you’re probably right.
@b7 Absolutely not true…. It was supposed to be based on restructuring. However, it seems as if people are being targeted in order to make room for friends…. Tasks are being undone because the real talent was sent home…
@dk We’ve had two senior high-performing people “disappear” in the last 5 months. No idea what happened to them.
@b7 this is complete BS. I know of three very high performers who were let go. The idea that you only get laid off if you deserve it is so dishonest.
@b2 Apr 2026 RIF was about getting rid of bad performers. Anyone who got 2/5 or lower were let go if your department was targeted. These layoffs were not random. If you are productive then you are fine. All the layoffs I have seen so far are for those unproductive workers.
@am wow just wow
You are what is wrong with mdt
They author is no cry baby
She is disappointed with the company. She clearly has had a negative experience
Don't be a je-k
@aj that's not 100 true
I know many high performers who have been made redundant.
If you are a yes yes yes person that lessens your chances of being on the list.
If you have a backbone and say no to more extra work. You are likely to be on the list.
It's all down to how far are you willing to go.
I know many people who know next to nothing and they are still here. It's because they are kissing someone's butt to stay out of the list.
Sad and true..
Perhaps the original author was sick of this nonsense
Not sure your the type of person who be missed. MDT has too many cry babies, thank god for "at will employment"
It is important to figure out what you did wrong so you don’t get fired again. You don’t want to be the bottom 20% and be at the mercy of next RIF. I have learned my lessons.
