actual Slack totals based stats:
1) Slack total for the latest series of mass layoffs which started on Mar24, 2026:
reductions: 16400, additions: 2652
2) Only if you want to count since August 2025 (start of previous mass layoff series), you can cross 30k:
reductions: 34577, additions: 11139
