Finance SD is openly vying for a SVP job two levels above his. he frequently mentions it in team meetings and its all over LinkedIn. he uses my annual performance meetings to talk about his desire for a promotion. SVP and AVP show favoritism to him. he acts inappropriately around employees and encourages us all to slack off. he constantly pressures people with opposing opinions in an abusive way and lies to protect himself. toxicity at its finest.

There’s a waiting list for SVP with people decades in the trenches that will battle it out. Right? Right? Right?
@OP I have two people in mind that might fit this description, can you provide initials?
@ab tell him to buy better knee pads, work on his grip, hair ties, wear long lasting lipgloss, wash multiple times a day, and work on the gag reflex. If you work on this, you will be ahead of the smarter ones. Now, if you are smart and have all these talents, you will beat most people.
@a3 there is no open job. it’s filled. but he still wants it and is openly politcking for it. Corporate Finance.
@OP is this position in the Lake Mary, FL, location or at Basking Ridge, NJ, within Corporate Finance?
Hey @Samantha Hammock, Chief Human Resources Officer, Executive Vice President:
I was informed by my Sr. Director, that by Human Resources, that promotions, skipping levels, thus two-level higher, was NOT allowable and not attainable?????????
@OP: elevations, promotability, two-levels higher, is not plausible as per Verizon's HR?
But there is an exception for every rule and rules are meant to be broken when convenient!!!
