Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

Apache Alaska! Your thoughts?

Apache is going ba--s deep in Alaska a storied and complex oil province. Does this make sense? Will we see a repetition of Apache Canada with an eventual exit?
What’s JC’s plan?

When they tested the last discovery the well produced 2700 bopd. You need a bigger discovery with wells with bigger delivery to support a development in Alaska. Besides, if it was that good why they didn’t have a drilling campaign last winter?

@25d so, Alaska is pretty much a distraction and it permits friends of JC to be enriched…no kidding Repsol bolted

In the unlikely event they have an economic discovery, they don’t have the capital to develop it.

Will APA get carried in Alaska like they did with Total Suriname? Ready for some analysts to ask the hard questions

This is a deal brought to JC by one of his friends and is not a game changer for APA. Just another folly of APA's inability to explore for themselves and then make a good development deal.

Same ELT that brought you Alpine High and Altus. Wall street will not be fooled again and neither with Kayne Anderson.

Savant: man of learning; one versed in literature or science; a person eminent for acquirements.

That’s what Savant means. Did APA make a sound decision?

To the market it seems like a good strategy but internally we know they’re sc--wed after letting go of talented staff who could help navigate the complexity of the play. Guess that was the acquisition should help with but not a good look.
