lol for me I think most of the onshore United States jobs will be made obsolete or outsourced by the end of 2028. What do you guys think?

my team was gutted, I'm the only onshore left. when I first joined 2 years ago it was basically like 90% onshore and 10% offshore. slowly people got laid off/transferred teams but sure enough the statistics have flipped.

Onshore is being rapidly replaced with offshore and favoritism is happening. We’ve lost great knowledge sources due to office politics.
@ca Corporate Dems are just hoarding wealth now and are the same as MAGA really just with the "virtue signaling" angle.

The orange menace has 2.5 more years to totally destroy the economy and make sure your job goes away.
It's hard to predict. I think we face three big challenges regardless of how good you are, or how hard you work.
- Competing with $15/hour foreign workers
- AI and the uncertainty of when it can enhance our work or replace workers.
- General climate of companies in a race to see who can reduce their workforce the fastest.
We've all seen good people get shown the door. The stress is incredible. There's always been a concern of being JE'd, but in the past, if you showed your value, you were relatively safe. Good luck to our young colleagues. And to our older ones, hang in there. But in the end, it might not matter how hard you work. When your name hits the list, there is nothing you can do.
