Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Dang man - VSP

This is honestly hilarious, Centene can not even fire us correctly...
The website wont give verification codes.
We are in the dark for hours, Cryptic emails.
Every leader is radio flipping silent.

For a company I loved to work for and with, this is ridiculous from the chiefs of the company.

My SVP found out the same time the rest of the team found out. I’ve been here under two years so I didn’t get VSP email today.

The vague cya on their part of "most" employees will receive this offer. All employees are getting this. Outside of the high ups and contractors. When the fine print is saying this is an APPLICATION to apply for a severance package that you are not even guaranteed to be approved for. Ridiculous. They want to play with our emotional well being, not have any clue what our work load is, but here, let us know in advance you want to quit and get a package we wont disclose what you get until later. Not to mention the legal aspect of not letting you know what the full cobra amount is after their supposedly paying it for you for only three months.

Leaders are probably silent because none of us were told anything - I did connect with my team to just discuss it and express and talk out the stress of it all, but I was told even my area's SVP was surprised. So only the super high ups have any additional insight. The message on the video yesterday still expressing excitement for mission simplify - a mission more about laying people off than really simplifying broken and redundant work - and asking us to still go above and beyond was id--tic. I think everyone is not very productive today and I honestly get it.

@a3 someone posted earlier that they sat on hold for 2 hrs, was connected and told that there is nothing they can do about the code not being sent and to try again later.

Some folks on my team have been waiting for hours to get a verification code. I've been waiting at least 30 minutes - I started thinking I inputted my phone number incorrectly until the rest of my team started asking about it on a Teams thread.

@OP I’m absolutely irate right now. I got my email at 10:07 and have tried unsuccessfully to log into the VSP site and the verification codes aren’t working — I’m on at least round 11 or 12; have been on hold for over and hour and 28 minutes … absolutely infuriating.
