Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I am dreading work tomorrow

I know I'll be one of the few at the office (I do Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday to get it over with) but I still feel physically sick just at the thought of going in. I don't even know when I went from loving my job to hating it with a fiery passion. I guess it was gradual, I was the proverbial boiling frog. I desperately need a new job. Or better yet, early retirement, since I'm done with corporate America in general.

It's the bootlickers that even made 3 possible. If the 150k or so employees able to work from home had simply said "no" to RTO, everything would be fine. You need to look in the mirror when assigning blame.

its the RTO whine babies that will cause policy change to 5 days a week in office.

For me it was when they fired all the good managers and replaced them with Goldman Sashs rejects. Its now a very toxic environment especially since corporate went Agile but this new management group wants Waterfall deliverable dates snd here we are stuck in the middle trying to juggle flaming sh-t.

Come over to the bright side and retire early. 18 month anniversary of my early retirement is today. Nostalgia brings me back here occasionally. I now work for a non-profit part time, donate plasma, take care of some of the elderly in our neighborhood by being their handyman, driver, computer tech, liaison with SSA, VA, Medicare etc. and volunteer in several places monthly. I hosted an impromptu meeting to discuss upcoming government program changes and 34 people showed up. Might be something I explore further. My stress level now has driven my blood pressure down 25/8 points and got me off every med I was taking. My Fitbit now regularly registers sleep score in the high 80's. Once you develop a new cadence of activities in retirement you will thoroughly enjoy it. One warning though. There is some guilt when you realize you have been binge watching some show and you go take a shower because you know your wife will be home from work soon. :)

I know exactly when it happened for me, when RTO was implemented. Loved my job before, hate the mindless executive hacks and their faux blanket policy ever since. Can't wait for them to leave, and they will.
