Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

how to unlock cigna corporate iphone

i tried calling cigna employee service but they sent me to another department and that dept sent me to employee service and i was just going in circles…

does anyone know which IT number i can call who can actually help me unlock the phone…. if they decide to get the iphone back that’s fine too..

background story:
i was laid ofd in 2025. when i returned my laptop and other cigna items l, UPS did not accept the iphone because it’s not in the list of items they can accept…. i tried to call Cigna to ask how to return it but i kept getting passed on different numbers and got so annoyed so i just kept it and forgot about it..

a couple of months ago, my personal iphone 13 is starting to act up so i decided to use that company iphone (iphone 16)…. so i went to my carrier to transfer my number to it and after resetting the cigna iphone to factory settings that’s when the service employee realized it was locked to Cigna….

anyone have any idea how to unlock it? or is this a lost cause? none of the cigna numbers i called seem to know what to do and to make it worst i am no longer an employee and they seem to not care about my call…

I have the same issue, which is d-mb because UPS should have just accepted it since it will fit in the box with my other stuff.

I tried to follow some of those hacks in youtube for company locked phones but didnt work for me. Also accdg to chatGPT those are temporary and you have to do it again after some time.

It will be nice though if that hack works. I can’t afford another iphone since I can’t find a full time job yet. Goodluck

The people on this thread are who I wish I got to work with before my layoff.

Instead I was stuck with sociopaths.

Get a new iPhone and transfer your number there. Cigna won’t unlock anything unless it helps their stock prices go up. If the number is not transferable without Cigna, then get a new phone number. Su-ks, but this is why you never combine personal devices with work ones.

Google this -“ how to unlocked iphone 16”

The steps to unlock an iPhone 16 depend on which type of lock you are trying to bypass. The main methods address locked screens (passcode), network restrictions (carrier SIM), or iCloud/Activation Locks.

  1. Unlock Activation Lock (iCloud Lock)If your phone is stuck on the Activation Lock screen requiring a previous owner's Apple ID and password, you must either enter their credentials or contact them to remove the device from their iCloud account. Apple cannot bypass this lock without proof of ownership.

This is d-mb.
Put the phone in a drawer and forget about it.
Tods it if cigna hasn’t reached out in a year or two.
