Who else is miserable and why? What is the one thing keeping you here?

Teradata…leading the industry with ten-year-old technology.
@15p well can't you get high availability with Unity? BAR and Unity should be complementary to each other
Bar integration is the secret of happiness at teradata. Add some spicy tacos, and you will know where the headwind is coming from. Bunch of genius playing upside down. What can go wrong? Oh, wait.
@11m
The BAR program is broken. It doesn't offer modern needs for the cloud. Many companies are looking for resiliency, not just a backup. Currently, TD leaves customers unprotected. Sales doesn't push for BAR sales; it's an afterthought.
@ct I'm glad you're happy. I've been happy for quite a while myself, and it's always surprising to see people react negatively to someone else's joy. Life is hard enough—I'd rather celebrate people who are doing well and finding happiness.
I've been working on BAR integration and I've enjoyed my time here so far. Good clean coding practices and nice people and a beautiful office in RB
I got out and life was instantly better. It was a massive weight off my shoulders.
I left when I could see the water pouring into the hull while constantly being told it was a little "headwind"
I got laid off a few weeks ago and that was a relief after many years of feeling miserable...
If people choose to stay, it's because they have bills to pay. I can't think of another reason. Take care.
Too lazy to update my benefits card at physician offices.
I'm happy - in cloud engineering here good teams and generally decent wlb supporting Vantage. Going on 8 years here and I hope to take on new challenges soon here
Spite is the only reason I'm still here.
Im not. But I left. Even with nothing else lined up. Best decision of my life.
@OP Completely miserable. No support from management. Must be too busy saving themselves, running, off to Wall Street, lying to their managers, or looking for new jobs.
To any manager or leader here, I hope you get exactly what you've given.
