I wish Verizon would be more transparent regarding our jobs. I’m working doing what I’m supposed to do but it’s an elephant in the room. In VCG a lot of upper management meetings but nothing definitive about layoffs are being shared or hinted. We’re all trying to read between the lines and it’s stressful.

What exactty do you want them to tell you? If you specficially will be impacted? How could they do that if they don't even know themselves? And what is true today might not be true in three weeks time. Also what would be the purpose of telling you ahead of time that you might be impacted. The fact is they have already told you this is a hundred different ways. you MIGHT be. This is how it is now. There is uncertainty, and that will always be the case. No one is ever going to say " ok you are all safe now, you'll be employed here for as long as you want". This is what yiou want and it will never ever happen (here or elswhere).

And I am still in day to day meetings where people are talking about planning for 2027. Not knowing if I will have a job in August.
