I heard that there is a list. What does it mean if an employee is ON the list but not selected?

There’s essentially a list that shows everyone who was considered for layoff and it tells you the title of their position, their age, and whether they were selected for layoff or not. The list is used to show that there was no age discrimination in the decision of layoffs and is only sent to people above the age of 35 (or 40, I could be wrong).
