@1hv Come on. Please don't bring political opinions into this.
Sounds like this guy has enough baggage all by himself.

@1hp He has taken advantage of the company for years, and it started at Vivint. Leadership fears that if he leaves he and his cult of bros that have insulated themselves at the top would take half the top sales org with him and start their own company. So he knows he can milk the system by saying all of these trips are for incentives and to thank employees for their hard work. It's just buying himself endless trips to sporting events and buying off the people he gets to take. He's basically the Trump family of Sunrun.

@1hk Jason Deeltra was at once again another World Cup game. It was the USA game in Seattle last night (7/6). Where he was sitting was about $7k for ticket. How can Sunrun approve this spending?

@1h5 They somehow think making it look nice makes people want to return to office when in reality if they simply got ride of the terrible leaders literally that everyone has complained about for years it would inspire more people to want to come in and do a better job. Get rid of Deelstra and his cult of bros and we will have an instantaneous lift in satisfaction scores, moral, culture fit.

See that’s what I don’t understand. How can they afford all of these high salaries and expensive trips but layoff their workforce constantly? Do no companies have a soul anymore? They have spent around a million dollars redoing the first floor - That chick is spending thousands on carpets and fake plants for what??

The only reason they don’t have to report anything to the state about workforce reduction is because they do micro teams constantly and not one singular lay off

@kh fun fact, I was a staff bi analyst there 4 months ago and I made 120k plus RSUs and a 10% bonus. Still decided to leave after 9 years because Sunrun is the worst company I ever worked for. Just so you know, Sr managers and Directors are making far more. Sunrun is nothing but 3 scammers in a trench coat. So glad I quit that shithole of a company.

@at 100% agreed. The guy is a total loser and it's so easy to see that all of the trips, games, swag is all designed for the benefit of him and his bros he's promoted to the top to protect him. The amount of money he has burned through while everyone else is getting fired should be criminal. I wonder if anyone in HR will have the guts to look into his actions because they have certainly been warned about him dozens of times. The amount of complaints he has received would typically have gotten anyone else fired years ago. Yet, we get to see him walk around the office every day like he's gods gift to Sunrun.

All I’m going to say if they are reducing agent pay again, they better be reducing the pay of these managers and directors, which I can positively say most are making $130,000 or more while agents are barely making ends meet and are getting riffed constantly

I gave years of my life, poured everything I had into this company, and what did I get? A being blindsided. I was a top-performing sales manager, consistently at the top of the charts, winning trips, grinding harder than anyone and I was tossed aside without warning.
Meanwhile, the people who should have been shown the door are still there, protected because they are somehow protected by leadership and HR. The VP of CHAIN Sales? He literally had an affair with someone he managed, cheated on his wife, and HR covered the whole thing up by shuffling his girlfriend into a different org. THAT’S who they protect. That’s who gets to stay.
Chief Sales Officer CHANCE is a disaster. His big plan? Gut the sales team and replace humans with AI. He’s slashing jobs left and right with no regard for the people or the customers. Morale is gone. Integrity out the door. The only people left are the liars, the manipulators, and the ones who will sell out anyone to protect themselves.
This place is toxic to the core. They don’t reward hard work, they punish it. They don’t value loyalty, they exploit it. They cover up corruption, reward the worst behavior, and keep cutting until nothing is left.
If you still work here, your turn is coming. This company will feed you false promises, drain every ounce of effort out of you.

I wonder how the company is always in a constant state of layoffs and reductions when there are people in power like Jason Deelstra and Brad Kramer. So funny that people like them are in positions of power with all of their friends, and then continue to create these exclusive RunXEvents such as going to the World Cup, Formula 1, Superbowl, NBA Finals, March Madness, etc... not to mention all of the travel like Japan and New Zealand. They are always going to the events and the ones coming up with all these incentives for sales reps to earn when they get a free ticket every time. What is the real value and correlation to having sales reps make questionable deals and target disadvantage people and how these trips actually bring in revenue? In my opinion, it's just for Jason Deelstra to make his own playground and events. Jason only truly cares about Jason. His job can be easily replaced.. he never does anything of real value or substance.

They’ve already started last week. More will come in July and for sure after the earnings call.
