Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

July 4th

This may be off topic , sorry. I would like to speak my peace. I been with AT&T for many many years, we managers were told today that we will not get another day off to make up the fourth of July . And all the years that I have worked at AT&T if your day off came up to be a holiday, you would get an extra day off through the week. I was told that would Thursdsy day off, however, as I was leaving the office today I was told that doesn’t happen anymore. We all have to work five days and we’ll get Saturday off.

My question is, is this a new thing that’s going on with all the centers or just our center in Florida?

You sound dimwitted.

There is a Holiday Schedule for management. There is no mystery. There is no whim.

July 3 is a Holiday.

@a1 No, AT&T used to be. We’re just an investment firm now. And an intensely poor one at that.

Managers get July 3rd off. If it is not for you due to “needs of the business” and they need you they will swap the date with something else down the road. Due to layoffs that may be next week or even a day of your choice.
