When few people in my group knowing who I am? Several actually have apologized to me when asking what my name is again because they forgot. I’m wondering if anyone would notice if I don’t show up at work.

You’ll have different complaints, but folks will sure know who u are.
Or, stop whining.
This is actually one of the best situations you could ask for. The more attention you get, the more work comes your way. You need to enjoy this and savor it. You don't need the attention, you just need to get paid.
As a d&r I rarely interacted with my team. Maybe spoke to my ll6 and managers once every week or two. Never to other underlings on my team other than to chitchat. Most of my time was spent talking to suppliers or other departments. Those were the good Ole days. Now everyone is in everyone elses business
Don't worry. The more they know you, the more you're given more responsibilities. I try to hide every chance I get.
