I hit the button 9 times just to get an elevator car to myself.. I mean, it takes 10 mins to show up so might as well!

Stupid thing to complain about. Every new building visit has this system
As a longtime Slacker, I appreciate the elevators.
They help optimize my slacking. I could waste easily a third of each day using them. A hardy thank you to the engineers who revamped them.
lol at crosswalk example. They clearly state to push it for just yourself so the program can plan for spots. Not really how crosswalks work.
Too bad the program can’t also plan for those with carts or objects, or just different size people.
Maybe we should enter our width in to so we can really optimize?
As a PLC programmer I can tell you, if you think that pushing the button more than once does any good, you're mistaken. I still laugh when I see someone frantically pushing a crosswalk button like it's going to make a program notice their impatience. Pushing the button acknowledges that you're in the queue. And then the circuit is done. Doh!
I don’t think the executives realize how much of a cluster this is. Epic cluster.
This just in from a chatty friend in the exec office - the Elevator People have been nominated for a Chairman's Award. I imagine they will get it. Just remember - what goes up must come down.

It’s embarrassing that we fd up a perfectly functional elevator system with an unnecessarily complex, nonfunctional system. Its the perfect analogy for the company.

What incentive is there to NOT hit it multiple times? They’re wasting your time, just do it.
