Most of the people I know are 40 or above, and just a few in their 30s. That doesn't sit right with me.

Me. I’m 23.
Yes, several.
Yes in gov
1/2 of my team who was let go was in their 20s in sales.
@aj I'm really sorry this has happened to you, hopefully you can land on your feet, I feel like before long it'll bite them in the a-s because when you start removing hard experienced workers from your team's for short term gains, it never ends well.
I am over 40, received above average performance ratings the last 6 years, was deemed a key contributor every year with average to above pay raises , was high in my pay band. Everyone let go in my group was over 40. While some let could have been performance related, the majority IMO were great employees, and great people that just happened to make too much money for CDWs liking.
Consider how small of a population coworkers under 30 represent at CDW. In the past year, CDW eliminated the ACE/Academy program, which trained inexperienced engineers, along with most entry level jobs. Of the dozens of people I work with at CDW, I can’t think of a single coworker under 30.
I know CDW still hires very young, junior sellers, but they’re paid so little CDW has no incentive to cut them. They’re targeting people who make more, who also happen to be older. Note that intent doesn’t matter for discrimination cases though, only outcomes.
Yes. Though I think it’s a small amount
It's mostly those who are approaching or over 50, but apparently also those who are deemed overpaid.
