This. It will become much more important after the AI bubble bursts. Upper manglement had already realized that they’ve made a mistake betting so much on AI and so little on their human resources. The engineers will have the last laugh when manglement comes back begging for real productivity and progress.

unionization really is the only answer. it doesn't even have to necessarily be about pay, but respect, work from home, stuff like that.
