XOM has sold its Australian assets to Woodside. Why would XOM announce the potential acquisition of Woodside when they are minimizing foot print in Australia? 🇦🇺
Is this a co-k block so Shell or BP don’t purchase Woodside?

To get a Venture Global to lower their asking price.......
EM turning over operatorship to Woodside but retaining the 50% ownership is not selling out to Woodside, but actually just an effort to divest of 1200 EM HC10 employees.
Simply another step in EM reducing headcount.
EM wants to transition to an investment company with as near zero employees as possible.
@cb this was “advertised” by XOM insider and backed up by additional insider source as per WSJ. It’s was peppered throughout industry periodicals and websites. You sound like a true modern Soviet..with all the passive aggressive rhetoric..your reality is going to shift soon.
Where did you see XOM advertising this? Falsely advertising this would lead to huge fines and penalties. Were there reports by industry watchers and speculation? Yes. Is that the same as XOM itself advertising it? No.
