Holidays and RTO mention in town hall?

Does anyone know which town hall mentions that national holidays are considered one of the "in-office" days for RTO / hybrid schedules? Can it be found on WFOD?

Our manager thinks that in 2023 if you work MWF in office and Monday is a holiday, you will need to come in an extra day that week but this wasn't true before. Not sure where they are getting this new info and I can't find the town hall replay about it

I love how people come out here to complain and to ask other uninformed people about policy and guidance when the answers are right in front of them on Teamworks. Go read it, attempt to comprehend, and actually talk to your manager if you still don’t get it. Or do you not read because you enjoy pleading ignorance as some sort of defense? Not a good look or strategy.

you can find the answer on team works, go to our workplace then understanding our approach, under the expectations section it states that holidays and paid time away including pto and community service count towards in office days.

There is no incentive in being super clear and transparent with the rules. That way they can’t get called out for treating different groups differently. They actually like the opaqueness of the situation, it gives them freedom to use it as they like. There can be exceptions for different groups, different people, different teams. Why out anything in writing???

What is it with managers who love RTO? Get a life people! If your coworkers are the only people you interact with then you need to get some hobbies.

Same, our group is demanding that we work an extra day in office on holiday weeks and there's literally nothing we can point to that says they're misinterpreting RTO guidance...

It’s funny how this site is actually the source of the most reliable information.

This is a perfect situation where you move forward with an assumption that holiday PTO or any PTO counts as an office day (as thousands upon thousands within the company have been for most of year now). If you or one of your employees ends up on a list, then ask for clarification and forgiveness later if it's because holidays/PTO aren't being counted.

Managers that try to drive/demand this be clarified are just asking for more rigidity around RTO that they aren't going to want.

Because they’re seeing how far they can push each LOB. Push back bro.

I'd also like to know this since they confirmed it will affect bonuses. Why can't management put the RTO and PTO rules on a website or something?
