How come the stock price is the same since dan joined? doesn't seem wall street believes verizon is an AI company....does this mean Hans will be back?

@c5 Driving the employee base into the ground with the botched 5G rollout has been an ongoing morale ki-l.
all Danny knows is fire people. then he buys back stocks. Wall street is not that stupid. They still look at the core foundation and what will drive growth. laying off people doesnt drive growth.
@k3 yeah, Danny boy excels at firing people and taking huge amount of money for that. A true genius
What did sampath ever accomplish? Best move Dan made to date.
@ak can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not
Zero chance Hans back and most oikely done as a failed CEO.
Realize Hans did notvtransition his role.. we were merging with Frontier and FCC approval no doubt required rhe Board to fire Hans to ensure Frontier vwas approved.
Why? arttic frost and DEI.
Artic frost is when Vz violated CPNI rules and gave up Republican Congress members cell phone to Jack Smith.. whereas ATT told smith get lost.
Hans was to liberal to succeed.
Verizon has “declared itself” an AI First company @am
@gb I have a faith that Dan is a failure
My sense is that the next Verizon CEO will likely come come from BT or Deutsche Telekom. Hans may have a shot but chances is fairly slim. It’s worth keeping in mind that the board is expected to split 50/50 once the Verizon-BT joint venture takes shape on 2027. That structural detail could end up shaping who ultimately gets the nod. The succession planning is under way though.
Have faith in Dan
Hans was a genius and the board clearly found out after hiring Dan.
@eg 6YEEEE :)))
Yes Hans will be back and 1st Up to Speed Video when back he'll be looking for Jeremy and blurt out:
"i'm so happy to be back to launch Verizon 3.0 and 6YEEEE!!
@bk the BOD would never admit they made a mistake by bringing back Hans. Webster's dictionary will once define a mistake as the Verizon BOD.
Dan is sitting pretty with golden parachute no matter what happens to the stock.
Hans was not a good leader, but he kept the stock price the same without destroying morale
Can I have my job back if they bring back Hans?
Just like we said from the beginning of Dan's decimation of the company. It would be a short term gain then back to reality because there really is no grand plan.
the board knows they made a mistake putting dan as CEO. now that dan proved he can't raise the stock price, they will likely put hans back up to the top role. that's why hans is still active at telecom events, key meetings, etc.
dan had his fun, but this is still hans running the show
@ba 100 PERCENT 🎯
@ak Hans is like Steve Jobs? Boy, you must be smoking some good stuff :)))
I'm no Jobs fan but he was genius in some ways and at the same time a rather terrible character in a different way. Nevertheless, he had a clear vision and lots of will to execute it. And he repeatedly delivered. Hans has none of that. And don't even mention Danny boy, he will be most famous for slurping coffee and deconstructing Verizon.
It's been around 40 bucks for 25 years.
@ah even Verizon BOD isn't stupid enough to bring Hans back. Hans career is over, he will be at best the CEO of his family
They flat out fired scampath without giving him a special advisor position. Hans most likely will come back as a contingency incase
@OP and who said Verizon is an AI Co?.... Verizon is pushing hard to have everyone using a technology called AI in any area that can be used for....that is totally different that being an AI Co.......if we use generators for power it does not make us a generator manufacturer
Agreed. Apple brought back Steve Jobs and it turned the company to the biggest thing. Hans probably will be back this time next year and Dan will be the next John sculley
@a1 yahoo???😂😂😂😂😂 What are you smoking?
Hans is totally coming back as ceo. They held his special advisor position and pay incase Dan failed … which seems to be happening.
@OP yeah dude, it no doubt means hans will be back 🙄 seriously?
@OP it’s factually not, it was $41.40 when he took over. Now although it went up before coming back down, and is nowhere near where he said, especially with all the cost cutting it’s still “up” since he took over. Not praising nor even offering any type of opinion about him, just stating a fact
There is a pressure on the entire telecom sector and not only VZ.
Verizon missed the AI boat. They had the skills and talents when they bought Yahoo but the "leaders" didn't know what to do with what they had.....Dan could have been the voice that could have steered the company in that direction but he didn't see it either....too late....
